HOW TO BE A MEGASTAR
BLUE MAN GROUP TOUR
COMES TO LONG ISLAND
Blue
Man Group is best known for their wildly popular
theatrical shows and concerts which combine music,
comedy and multimedia theatrics to produce a totally
unique form of entertainment. The blissful party
atmosphere created at their live events has become the
trademark of a Blue Man Group experience.
The
group was formed in New York by friends Chris Wink, Matt
Goldman, and Phil Stanton, and has since expanded around
the world to locations that currently include Boston,
Chicago, Las Vegas, Orlando, Berlin, Oberhausen, and
Tokyo. The New York City show is still going strong at
the Astor Place Theatre which is located at 434
Lafayette Street in the East Village.
With
their How to be a Megastar tour 2.1, Blue Man Group
embraces the rules, rituals and raw excitement of that
most primal of group experiences: the arena rock
concert! This full production tour features
state-of-the-art concert technology. This tour brings
the Blue Man Group experience to arenas across the
nation this winter and through the spring of 2008. The
Blue Man Group will stop on Long Island, May 3, 2008, at
the Nassau Coliseum
Executive Tour Producer Paul J. Emery, III of Emery
Entertainment, stated, “The demand for encore
performances is far-reaching. We are thrilled to add
some additional show elements including innovative new
technology such as state-of-the-art video screens; new
vocalists and the tour debut of the hit single “Rock and
Go!"
Describing the 2008 tour, Emery said, “After ordering a
tongue-in-cheek ‘how-to’ manual on becoming a rock star,
Blue Man Group is joined by an eight piece band and
subsequently takes us through, step-by-step and
song-by-song, every head-bobbing, fist-pumping moment of
a real concert with constant hi tech interaction with
their audience. The result: a uniquely clever
interactive show that delivers hypnotic entertainment
for all ages!”
